Here is a short post, hopefully to cure insomnia ^_^; Just saw the PV for Onna no Ko Otoko no Ko (オンナノコ オトコノコ), the School Rumble ED. It's a cute song, and a cute video. The singer, Yuko Ogura (小倉優子), is cute as well ^_^ Here's a screen cap. That she cosplays as Tenma is a nice touch I'd say. One thing I do wonder about this PV is where it was filmed. Numerous billboards or signs seem to be blurred out intentionally. Quite odd ne?

So yesterday evening I saw episode 3 of Bleach, and I think that it's shaping up to be decent, though only time will tell. The opening theme, Asterisk　(*~アスタリスク~), by Orange Range, is definitely one of the highlights. Too bad there doesn't seem to be any concrete release date. According to this page from Sony Music Japan's website:

"* -asterisk-" is used as the theme song for anime program "BLEACH" (Oct/26/2004)
"New song "* -asterisk-" is now used as the opening theme song for the popular anime "BLEACH". You can listen to this song only in this animation program since it's not confirmed whether this will be released or not."

They'd better release it, lest a rabid pack of fanboys descends upon them. Well...time to sleep now, heh this wasn't that short after all....zzzz

I watched the first five episodes of School Rumble (スクールランブル) last night, followed by a raw of the sixth. I seem to have become hooked. Hilariously funny, and definitely the best of the new crop of anime this season; at least of the ones I've seen. Also saw 1+2 of Bleach (ブリーチ), seemed interesting enough, certainly very flashy, but I don't know if I'll follow it yet. None of the other new shows have really gotten my attention though. Well, hopefully Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid (フルメタル・パニック! The Second Raid), the new FMP series that was announced recently will come out soon ^_^ (sources say 2005?) Bah! Less anime watch more study do! *runs*

Well, finally after much poking around I seem to have gotten (almost) everything working. I'll fix up the broken parts (including the counter, which at the moment is horribly inaccurate) after I get some more homework done.

In the meantime, here's a random screen cap of Mikuni Shimokawa (下川みくに). This was taken from some sort of special featuring the anime Grenadier, which included some clips of Shimokawa's PV for "Kanashimi ni Makenai de" (悲しみに負けないで), translated roughly as "Don't Give in to Sorrow". It's the ED song for the series, and is quite calming and pleasant to listen to. Haven't seen any of the show itself, but perhaps I'll pick it up.
