Hi everyone!

With all the spammers flooding the site and generally making a mess of things, I've decided to disable anonymous comments for the time being. However, in a way it's been a wake up call of sorts. I suppose it's as good a time as any for some change. One of the problems with b2evolution is that it just feels so clunky these days. Although I've never really been a frequent blogger, I do have somewhat of a presence on the Internets. Recently I've been using Twitter a lot, and although it's a great resource for real-time information sharing, it feels like it's time to get back to the basics.

It's my pleasure to announce that a long-overdue site update is in the works, coming (hopefully) soon. :3

Wow. Pencil Royale, originally an April Fool's joke by visual novel maker Production Pencil, is actually being made. Confirmed at Pencil Live 2010, they're hoping to have it ready by Summer Comiket.

It has 3D characters fighting on a 2D background, and there are some different costumes for each fighter. Has some sort of outfit damage system too, (reminiscent of Soul Calibur PSP?) Also, the game is voiced! The heroines themselves are drawn from various Pencil brand games, including Twinkle Crusaders, the Prism series, and Princess Witches. It was mentioned that there would be at least 4 playable characters, but the final number is anyone's guess. Production values seem half-decent, and it looks to play fairly well. Can't wait to try it out!

Whilst browsing around the internets I came across a video of a live performance by Blargel, a guy I used to know from the old Shrinemaiden touhou community. He played "yoake no sora, chiisana negai", that song that I transcribed from the Touhou Reverie piano album many moons (5 years!?) ago. Still the best Touhou piano arranges I've heard. Go Blargel!
